The musical genre classification is new but the repertoire of these silky buttery smooth easy listening R&B tunes has been featured in many musical formats for the last 50 Years . The band YACHTSOUL  GROOVE is made up of arguable one of SOCALs most talented Yacht Rock acts called THE YACHT GROOVE when seen on stage as five artists but when their playlist expands to include Yacht Soul music they bring in a couple designated heavy hitters that transforms them into a seven piece powerhouse placing them in a league of their own as they do it all.

 

Featuring:

Rodney Thurman, Kevin Bachelder and Monica Saylor  - Up front as Tri Captains manning the wheel of the ship and sharing duties on lead Vocals + Trumpet , The multi talented Swiss Army knife skipper is Allison Piccioni - Vocalist / Keys / Sax , Dieter Weinzettl / Drums, Mevlin Brennon - Bass  and Chief MD Navigator Frank Browne - Guitar . This creative bunch has opened for and or performed with numerous  National touring acts over past several Years such as:  Pablo Cruise , Peter Becket of Player , Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass , Booker T. & The MGs , Kevin Cronin , Cindy Lauper and many more. Not to mention laying down some tasty tracks as studio musicians on other National artists albums. The definition of the Yacht Rock style of music is a hybrid of mixing Jazz, Easy Listening ,Rock Pop and R&B Soul. Therefore It was a natural decision for the band to expand their overall yacht genre play list to incorporate the Yacht Soul side of the music scene as it showcases the vast experiences from everyone’s past cumulative musical endeavors. The the group was formed Six Years ago and has presently developed into a polished, energetic, interactive party band. They performs at : Wineries , Country Clubs, Concert Venues , Casinos, Parks , Private Parties and Special Events throughout California. Shows are usually performed in either a 90 minute concert style show format or two sets with a short intermission . The audience will hear a nostalgic greatest hits compilation concert that includes some of the most popular timeless recognizable 70’s & 80s YACHT ROCK & YACHT SOUL tunes of Yesteryear. This Nautically themed attired act incorporates a light  Buffett Esque family  fun attitude style . So Jump on board, enjoy the ride and be the Captain of your own YACHT ROCKIN musical experience.
